Well... I'll be honest.... I didn't watch it and didn't feel like I missed anything. Shane had an operation on his spine and we watched the NCIS finale in the dayroom of the Augusta GA VA Hospital instead. He's recovering at home now.

I was told that Kara arranged the song for Adam and that it was craptastic so maybe an upset is in the offing but I doubt it....

I've got to say this..... I completely give up. This show including Simon is sooooo in the bag for Adam (especially when you including the subtle scolding of the audience from Simon pretty much saying America is a bunch of idiots if Adam doesn't make it into the Top 2) that to me, the show isn't even watchable anymore.

They are singing two songs each. One they select and one the judges select.

Danny sings a judge song I've never heard of called...

OK...well here we go and I get to watch these people besmirch my favorite genre... Slash is the mentor which is a cross between creepy and awesome...

Adam is up with "Whole Lotta Love" which I'm sure is going to be over the top obnoxious. Slash praises him and seems impressed but Saints be praised!; someone finally tells him to lay off the falsetto. Slash is totally my new best friend. Adam is excited about singing the song. He, however IMO completely disregards...

i did like the way they set up the duets last nite tho..... had the 2 guys together and the 2 girls together

when they get down to the top 2 and adam is one of them, which i'm sure he will be with the way the judges are gushing over his overly dramatic yet not impressive vocals, i'm done watching. i'll hear about him winning here but i wont contribute to the fabricated ratings

It's time to see our favorite movie songs defiled in God knows how many ways. Quinton Tarantino is the mentor for some weird reason... I mean, I know he a movie guy AND a fame whore but I don't get the musical connection, then again I don't get the musical connection for many of the contestants.

First up, it's Allison in the dread lead off! "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" from "Armegeddon" is the song but yikes! I sort of wished that I missed...

Hey there! I'm posting watching the TeeFaux (don't know what I said On Demand seeing as there's no way I'd pay for this) version with a meeting to get to, so here's the highlights:

Dead Wife Danny was born in 1980 and sings "Stand By Me"... Ok, I'm going to just say that I hate it when they're allowed barely known remakes of big hits to count for the birth year song because seriously? This song is 60's, period! Anyhow, he sings it pleasantly...

I get in when Allison and her Kelly Clarkson vibe perform. She started in a Selina sort of way, singing at hispanic venue and she seems to have a sweet family. She sings "Give into Me". NCIS is over and I have the TV back. Here we go!

OMG! I get settled in just in time for Nathaniel of the headbands! Whoohoo! He delcares that he is the drama queen (girl, please! Tatiana has that honor!). Jumping Jehosaphat! This show is on for two hours tonight? Why do they keep changing the length and that sort of thing. It makes it very hard for me to plan my evening since I'm not at all hopelessly devoted to this!

OK get there when Megan performs. She sings "Turn You Records On" and the judges gush (except Simon and his nipples) and they talk about how she's the total package. She is very pretty but there's something jarring about her peaches and cream...

Welcome to the first cap of the season....

I'll be honest, I just felt that this show is a bit too hard to keep track of until is starts getting toward the end of the selection process.

Tonight is when we get a glimpse of the top 36.... and I won't be getting too in depth until we get to the final 20 because it's still scattered and I'm too lazy to learn names until we have a better of idea who were are going to be hanging out with for the next few months....
