I don't see a thread started on just the show since the ezboard "crash" so I decided to start a new one. Did anyone watch the season premiere. I thought it was pretty good. I like seeing how the interpersonal relationships have progressed. I missed a lot at the end of last season. I like a show that pays attention to its own history and incorporates details that long time watchers can appreciate. I'm looking forward to the new season.

I watched it.
It was ok... but it seems "different" somehow. I liked how they didn't just forget about Nick's ordeal and that it's showing how it affected him.... IE: fear of bugs now. Also that Grissom is investigating the tape that was received. I heard that Grissom is going to be leaving the show, so maybe this will be his way out... maybe they kill him off at some point during this season. I found the story about the burned trailor somewhat interesting... but the murdered dancer was ho-hum and so similar to other "stripper" stories that they had done. I was taken aback about Warrick though. I had no clue that he was even dating anyone last season. it was also rather interesting to see that Catherine had a thing for him.... and aside from one episode from last year that I remember where the two of them make a bet over a sports game for a dinner... there was absolutely no idication that she was even interested in him in more than a professional way. I wish they had developed that story last season instead of just throwing it in out of the blue now. The only relationship they tried to develope was the odd ball one between Grisson and Sarah (not counting the anthropologist friend of Grissom's as she's not a regular). It's been on a long time now, so maybe their stories are petering out and this will be the last season for it. Not much that they haven't covered in all of the years they've been on. But then again, there are a million ways to kill someone and commit crimes. My favourite episode was the one about the Chimera (the guy with 2 strands of DNA), and the girl who killed joggers with her dog and drank their body organs, lol |

I agree that it was okay probably because I felt that they were trying to cram too much in with three different cases going on. I like it when there is one or two cases so we can actually watch them be solved. It seemed they were pretty easy to figure out how did it on each one, except the car through the trailer one. That was good.
I liked Nick's reaction to the bug on him. I'm glad it just wasn't dropped from the season finale. There were hints last season about Catherine and Warrick. I think something would have happened, but then she became Warrick's supervisor so she quit the flirtation. Now that she isn't his supervisor anymore, she was probably hoping to start the flirting again, but then found out about him being married. I think that was pretty believable. Him getting married was wacky though and I don't see it lasting if he was only dating for a couple of months and no one had met her yet. Grissom talked about leaving the show when CSI: Miami spun off and also when CSI: NY started. He doesn't like that the series has spin-off shows. That's why he's never in a cross-over episode for any of them. Since he didn't leave three years ago, I don't think it's a big threat this year. Now that I've said that, he'll probably leave. I agree with you about Grissom. He's very believable in the role.

Anyone else notice during the season opener, that Sarah is looking rather pregnant? I noticed in several shots that her belly is quite round, and her protruding navel is definitly showing prominently through her tops

Quote:In addition to some flirtation and what-not, there was the episode where she fell and he caught her and they almost kissed. Quote:That was my favorite one too. That was some cool and freaky stuff. |

I agree that they did cram a bit much in but I prefered that attempt at a big season opener to some of the duller season/series openers. I noticed that Sara didn't have a lot of air time but not that she looks pregnant. Is Jorja Fox pregnant?

I didn't notice her looking pregnant. If she was, I just didn't see it. I'll have to look harder at the next episode. I did a Google search and found some others on message boards wondering the same there. Here is a quote from the tabloid Star so who knows how true it is:

Oh jeez - Sara in Calleigh's outfits? I don't see it. Okay first episode back. Goop from trunk was just disgusting - even more disgusting in Greg's mouth - bleah!!!
A very quick easy wrap-up to the desperate housewife stripper murder - almost like a "we only have 5 min left - let's solve this" type ending. I think the flirtation between Warrick and Catherin will continue - it's out on the table now. At least, I hope it will continue! |

Yeah, maybe that'll mess with his quickie wedding. Maybe she finds him even more desireable now that he's married!

Jorja Fox Pregnant? | #10 | ||

I am just now watching a rerun of CSI. The episode where the tourist bush crashes on the highway due to a sabotaged tire.
Anyway, Sarah is wearing tight near hipster pants and a body hugging sleeveless top. She looks thin and her stomach is flat, and there is no belly button poking out through the cloth of the top. In the season opener for this season, her belly button was HUGE and prominently poking out through the cloth of her top... there was no mistaking it. I didn't notice it until a point where she was walking through the lab talking to someone, and her belly was looking well rounded with a very protruding navel. I've been all shapes and sizes due to weight gain and loss. If you gain weight from getting fat, your belly button doesn't stick out. If you were born an "inney", if you gain 500 pounds it will still be an "inney". However, if you get pregnant, the belly button will be pushed to the outside. I'm a nurse and I work in maternity sometimes... I know a pregnant belly when I see one. That girl is definitly looking pregnant. I guess we'll know for sure if they start putting her behind strategically placed cars, tables, fences, chairs etc. |
